Survivor. Advocate. Filling the gaps no one else sees.

I'm a 4-time ovarian cancer survivor, in remission since November 2022. Cancer took more than most can imagine — but it didn't take my purpose. Today I walk alongside patients and caregivers so no one has to face this alone.

My Story

God is the hero of my story

I wouldn't be here — physically or mentally — if God hadn't kept me. This is the short version. The whole testimony is coming in my memoir.

I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 38 — a young entrepreneur building her own business. Then it came back. Again. And again. Four times in all, including a recurrence in the middle of the COVID pandemic when the world felt its most isolating.

I've survived debulking surgery and a hysterectomy that meant letting go of my lifelong dream of carrying my own children. I've survived sepsis, a life-threatening chemo-port infection, chemo that reached my right lung, and a new drug allergy. I finished with radiation. And through every bit of it, an amazing support system refused to let me give up.

“A second opinion gave me more than answers — it gave me hope.”

Moving my care to the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit was one of the best decisions of my journey. I'm alive today because of the grace and mercy of God, and because people showed up for me. Now I'm here to show up for others.
